Memoirs.

Looking through all the memoirs, there was one that caught  my attention and it was written by Chelsea S. titled "The End of Adolescence ". (You can read her memoir at http://teacher.scholastic.com/writeit/readpoem.asp?id=11980&genre=Memoir&Page=5&sortBy=) .

In general, I liked everything about her memoir. I liked how she described everything with much detail. For instance, she wrote "tears welled up in my eyes, blurring my vision" and it made me feel her pain because I've felt like her before but in a different situation. She makes readers feel her pain which makes her a very good writer.

Then, Chelsea describes in the last couple of paragraphs what she had to do after her mom was diagnosed with her sickness. It  reminds me of how some of my family members have to deal with sicknesses as well . It makes me realize that you never know what's going to come your way . When you least expect something to come your way, it is very difficult and learning how to cope with it is the hardest part.
